"Thing 1"

Weston had a school project where he had to pick a book to read, then answer some questions, then come to school dress up as one of the characters. He loves Dr. Seuss's books, so he picked The Cat in the Hat book and he/picked to be Thing 1 (as you can kind of see on the pages of the book). We had fun preparing for this and we thought it turned out really good. So below is a pic of Wes, ready to go to school.

First Tooth Fairy's visit!

At 6 years old, Weston lost his first tooth. I kept telling Wally he would be the one pulling the tooth, because I didn't want to do it. Well, after church, while we were waiting on Wally, Weston just put his finger in his mouth, to wiggle it (was his intention), but instead... I heard, "my tooth came out!" And there it was! I quickly gave him a napkin and send him to the bathroom to rinse it off. And there was no more blood in his mouth, and that's how quick it happened. I was happy with that. He was SSOOOO excited his first tooth came out!
THat night, Weston put his tooth (in a ziploc baggy) under his pillow, and the next morning there was a dollar and the tooth was gone! (He was hoping for a million.... sorry... if that was what happens, I would be pulling my own teeth out now!)

Dads and Donuts

Weston's school had a day called "Dads and Donuts" which is a day where dads (grandparents or "equivalents") can come and have a small breakfast with their children. So Weston invited his daddy and Wally was able to go (he was going to work later) and they both said they had a great time, to what I call "father and son bonding time"! They ate, then Weston took Wally to the hallway by his classroom and showed some projects done, then gave him a book (made by him) describing daddy... pretty funny. Then Wally asked, "so what do we do now, son?", to which Weston replied, "I go in my classroom and you go home". He loves school!!!!!

Oct. 30, 2010 Trunk or Treat?

Our church had an activity for Halloween the Saturday before Halloween. We met at a member's barn and they had some food,

a hay ride, and then we did trunk or treat, where you go around the trunks of cars and you ask for candy. It was kind of short and quick but we had fun.

Sep. 4, 2010 Boating in Lake COnroe

Our friends and neighbors, David and Shelley and their son Connor, invited us to go boating on a Saturday. It was a very fun time. We brought our lunches and we went to a small island where the kids could play in the sand.

Weston loved riding in the front and Noah and I made sure we were tightly sitting in the back with Wally and Shelley. David let Wally drive the boat for a little bit. I couldn't take a picture as I was more worried about keeping me and Noah inside the boat!

Then we went to the other sides of the lakes and saw som big houses. One of them is the grandaughter of Mrs. Bairds, the bread lady.

I love Priscilla!

This picture was taken was my sister was here... I'm so glad Wally took it. Let me just say that that baby girl loved for me to put her to sleep or she loved falling asleep on my arms and I loved holding her... How sweeter can that get and she sucked her thumb! (I sucked my thumb when I was a baby). I love her! She is so soft in every way. I see this picture and I want to have her here to hold her again.
So in honor of missing her, here goes the picture!

Melissa turns 30!!!

August 6, 2010. I will confess I was not thrilled, for months, about the idea of turning 30! But I came to understand that it is just a number, because I don't feel 30! I am happy to be where I am, and to have my little family.
On Saturday, we did something fun in the afternoon (info upon request) and then we had dinner at Denny's with our friends, the Trahan's.

So, I pretty much celebrated the whole weekend. Wally and I went on a double date with my brother and Susannah, and we had fun! After going to the temple, we went to Chipotle and enjoyed yummy burritos,

and then QUICKLY cut a cake (that Wally bought me) at my parents. Oh, and I should mention getting a cute card from Wally and one from my boys, along with bags of chocolate and a helium balloon with the # 30 on it!!

Sunday, Wally's family had a special, delicious dinner and cake for me! Thanks to those who cooked! They made my favorites and really made me feel special and there was a card and gift for me too!

Fun, fun, fun!! Thanks to all that helped me feel special that day and weekend, even all the messages through facebook and phone calls!

Un poquito de todo (A little bit of everything)

So I haven't posted pictures in a while and the kids do so many cute memorable things, it's hard to keep up with "blogging", at least for me. So here, have a look at different shots, from the summer.

Noah said "Here Weston, here is your spot!".

Getting out of bed, ready for breakfast... Is like a nest back there in that head!

No comments on this pizza, besides the fact that it was homemade, that my kitchen aid is great, and that it was a chicken, bacon and extra cheese pizza!

Can it get any clearer than this? If Noah or anyone asks, "Weston said no". note: his bedroom door, closed.

During the summer Weston was a great help, big brother like most of the time. He helped his little brother get dressed in the morning... Please appreciate the colors!!!!!!!!!!

And let me just say that the following pics are my first shots with my new cam and lens... . Love the new additions! (did no editing)

"Let's play Super Mario Bros Daddy!"

Ps. we were about to leave to a bday party, and it happened to be that they were all wearing white, as the party was at 4pm outside (light colors bounce off sun rays, right?... it was about 200 degrees that day!!!!

At our "probably" the last trip to Dallas, TX

July 31st, we drove to Dallas for Wally's nephew's baby blessing (Emmett Parker), and that Saturday night we all met at a restaurant, where this picture was taken.

July 24th, Weston turned 6!

On that Saturday, my sister and family, and us were invited to Janette's house for a dinner, and I brought dessert, a cake (marbled), in honor of Weston's birthday. And my nice sister Raymie had bought some party hats and the cute plates and stuff... We had a good time. Thanks Janette and Henry (my aunt & uncle) for the nice dinner.

Please make note of the dog...! Sorry Jeanine, he had to party too!

My lovely sister and me!

Upside down...

Evan, Wally's cousin, and Preston too, love playing with Weston and Noah... and this is one way they do! Hang on tight Wes!!! Evan got it all under control!

Weston 6th Birthday Party

We decided to celebrate Weston's 6th birthday at a park. As we got there, it rained hard and there was thunder and lighting, but it passed quickly. We were under a pavilion so we were fine and the kids didn't mind the slides were wet!
My sweet little family!

Wally with his parents, Nicholas (one of the brothers), and his Grandma.

Raymie, Priscilla, and Pilar and Jesse.

Weston and his cousin Joe.
